Get Involved!
The HSA needs all hands available to make our programs work. The best news for you is that it's easy to help and be involved in whatever way is best for you! Are you looking for time in the building? Are you looking for one event to help and no on-going commitment? Are you looking for ways to volunteer if you work and cannot be in the building? We can take you ALL! Check out our many ways clubs, groups and events - there will be one to fit your schedule.
**NOTE: In order to volunteer, you must obtain your clearances; learn more at the Quaker Valley Volunteers Page.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES
We have lots of exciting events planned for the 2022-23 school year. Watch this space for opportunities to get involved!
Race for Education Is On!
Our annual fundraiser, Race for Education, has begun! Students seek sponsors through email requests to pledge donations to the school. On Race Day, October 12, 2023, students run laps around the school track for one hour, win prizes, and have snacks while parents and teachers cheer from the sidelines. It's a really fun day!
For all the essential details about Race for Education, please check out our special Race for Education newsletter.
To send emails on your student's behalf, or to make a contribution, please visit our Students & Parents page.
Thank you for your support!
Race for Education Day
On October 12, 2023, come and cheer on our students as they run/walk laps around the school track to the beat of D.J. Donnelly's music, refuel with snacks and win prizes. It's a great way for our school community to celebrate our fundraising efforts!
Race times for each class are as follows:
K - 9:10 - 9:55
2 - 9:55 -10:40 (*Please note that 2nd and 1st grades do not go in grade order.)
1 - 10:40 - 11:25
3 - 1:00 - 1:45
4 - 1:45 - 2:30
5 - 2:30 - 3:15
Volunteers are needed to help race day run smoothly. If you have a badge and are available to help on race day, please sign up to help! A sign up link will be available closer to race day.
Book Fair
This year, book fair is still being scheduled. This evening event is for both parents and students. We hope that many parents will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to tour the school, see your children's classrooms, and stop by the book fair with your kids.
If you would like to volunteer at book fair before or after your classroom visits, sign up to help (sign up form coming soon). A volunteer badge is NOT required to work at book fair.
Fall Festival Parties-in-a-Box
Although we can not yet be in the classrooms, you can still be involved with your child's Fall Festival celebration by volunteering to organize a party in a box. Volunteers will provide a game, craft and prizes for their student's homeroom.
